We drink water: when, how much and what kind

If there is not enough water in the human body, then absolutely all processes in it slow down, the person becomes lethargic, and his movements slow down. Many do not understand why drink such an amount of water (at least 1.5 liters per day); they are confident that their body can do without such “infusions”. And such people are very mistaken.

Why do you need to drink water?

Water is vital for humans, because even our body consists of 60% of it, it is involved in thermoregulation and metabolic processes. And with a lack of fluid in the body, a person begins to go into suspended animation – lethargy, inactivity, depression and problems with metabolism.

Literally every organ of our body, and especially our skin, depends on water. You yourself have probably noticed that with insufficient fluid intake, the skin becomes dry, and, by the way, wrinkles appear on it earlier. For those people who drink the right amount of water per day, wrinkles appear much later.

A healthy habit is to drink water: how much water do you need?

Almost all sites dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, dietetics, skin and body care recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day – and rightly so. But still, we should not forget that all people have different organisms, no people are absolutely similar to each other, so you need to learn to calculate the norm yourself.

So, to normalize all processes in the body, a person needs to drink an amount of water at the rate of 30 ml of pure water per 1 kilogram of body weight. So a person weighing 60 kg should drink at least 1.8 liters of water per day.

When should you drink water?
Every day your morning should begin with drinking a glass of still clean water. This is necessary so that all vital processes start in the body. You could say it needs to be “started up.” During the night, water evaporates from the body, and such a morning glass of liquid allows you to replenish the losses that have occurred.

In addition, you need to learn how to properly distribute the daily volume of water – you cannot drink 1.5 liters of liquid at once and consider that you have helped your body. In this case, on the contrary, you made it worse. So, we drink water in this way: after waking up, a glass of water, after breakfast, 1 hour later, another glass, half an hour before lunch, a glass, an hour after that, before and after the afternoon snack, and we do the same with dinner.

What kind of water should you drink?

Most people have a completely logical question – what kind of water should they drink? The ideal solution would be structured natural water – this is water from a well, spring water, or melt water. But not all of us have such an opportunity, and you can hardly find spring water in the city, at most in plastic bottles.

But it is still better to drink water from bottles than from the tap – it is not properly purified and has harmful chemical compounds.
Another important point that you always need to remember is that compotes, coffee, tea, packaged juices, carbonated sweet drinks in no way satisfy the body’s daily need for water, and in general, you should not get carried away with such drinks – they have practically no benefit , but there is enough harm.

So, let’s summarize everything we’ve learned about water and try to make its regular use a healthy, proper habit.
