Simple Idea #1: Breakfast Sandwich
I’ve got a little habit now that I’ve been blogging for years. I tend to take pictures of everything I cook. And I get really frustrated sometimes because I really like the recipe but it’s not really photogenic or for some reason, the pictures don’t turn out as good as it tastes so I end up not posting it on my blog.
This recipe (not really a recipe, more of an idea) is one of those that I kind of postponed posting because I feel like the pictures don’t do it justice, if you know what I mean.
But I promise, this is one of the yummiest breakfast sandwich you can make at home and it’s quite healthy as well. It is so simple and quick to make. I’ve got a few of these simple-and-quick-to-fix ideas but also it’s-good-but-not-really-photogenic recipes that I haven’t shared on this blog. I want to share those recipes with you someday.
But here’s what I did to make this sandwich:
I usually buy whole grain English muffins. They are healthier than regular white English muffins. But you can use whatever you like. I like to toast those English muffins for a nice, slightly crunchy texture. Fry an egg to your liking. I use Canadian Bacon instead of ham and I really like the flavor of it. They are lower in calories, too. Place the Canadian bacon and egg and smoked Gouda cheese slice together on a pan and heat until the cheese is nicely melted. Add them on top of toasted English muffin like a sandwich and it’s good to go! These are great with a glass of cold Orange juice. Mmmm, now I’m craving some!
